Christmas Card Display

Pinspiration

Their version is wall art but it inspired me to do something similar to display my Christmas cards.

My Version

I used two layers of corrugated cardboard and used a hole punch to put a hole in the back piece so I could hang it on an existing nail.  Then I glued the cardboard together and wrapped it in fabric.

Scrap Fabric Bucket

I don't see the scrap bucket on the blog that my Pin links to so I'll just show what I did.

I already had the ruler and rotary cutter (unused) then my friend gave me the cutting mat for Christmas.  I put them to good use by making this piece of fabric from 4" x 4" squares.

This was a first for me.  I'm pleased with how it turned out and while the corners aren't 100% lined up they are close.

Then I used McCall's 6624 pattern to make the bucket.

This will be part of my 2013 Toy Mountain donation.  I will be putting toys and baby items in it.

Boutique Style Bibs

Today I finished three baby bibs.  They will be for the 2013 Toy Mountain donation (I swore I would be finished making Christmas presents early and so far I'm doing well).

My Version

They turned out very cute and are a great way of using scrap stash.  The only thing I bought was backing fabric.
